Clinical Study On The Effect Of FuZhenJianDu Tang In Adjusting The Immune Function Of The Patients Who Were Receiving Chemotherapy

Objective: Aimed to observe the effect of FuZhenJianDu Tang in adjusting the immune function of the patients after the colorectal cancer who were receiving chemotherapy and reducing the poisonous side effect .Methods: 60 Colorectal cancer patients were divided randomly into two groups, they are Treatment group(Chemotherapy plus traditional Chinese medicine)and Comparison group (Chemotherapy only)respectively.Patients in the Comparison group were given Chemotherapy medicine.Treatment group were given Fu Zhen Jian Du once a day and Chemotherapy medicine treatment. One week as one cycle, each case was drew blood to check T lymphocyte subgroup and the NK cell with flow cytometry before treating and after treating for a cycle. Appraising curative effect when the experiment finished with drug adverse reaction, deficiency of vital energy symptom, KPS grade and immunoindex.Results:There was a significant enhancement of NK cell activity and ratio of CD4/CD8 in Treatment group (P<0.05).While the result decreased a little in the Comparison group,but it had not statistically signigicant (P>0.05).Compared the indexes of two groups after treating,both had difference(P<0.05).As to the improvement of life quality,the KPS was improved significantly in Treatment group (P<0.05).While the Comparison group was a little decreased,but it had not statistically signigicant (P>0.05).And the KPS was higher in Treatment group than Comparison group,it had difference(P<0.01);Before the treatment, there is no significant difference between two groups in scores of deficiency of vital energy symptom. After the treatment,the score of Treatment group group was lower obviously(P<0.05),but the score of Comparison group was higher than before with statistics difference.(P<0.05);Compared the observation of related toxic side effect, the result of the reducing of neutrophilic granulocyte, toxic of nervous system, and response of alimentary canal in Treatment group was better than that of Comparison group.The difference was significant(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the result of haematochrome,haematoblast and toxic of liver and kidney.All results suggested that the Treatment group is better than the Comparison group in reducing partial poisonous side effect.Conclusion:In the therapy of colorectal cancer,Chemotherapy plus FuZhenJianDu TCM could enhance the curative effect in the near future, reducing the poisonous side effect, meliorate deficiency of vital energy symptom effectively, improve the quality of life, improve the immune state and increase survival time of patient.Our conclusion was Chemotherapy plus FuZhenJianDu TCM had synergy as well as attenuation.
