Study On The Performance Of Composite Resins Polishing

Composite resin is dentistry rehabilitation composite material which is convenient, beautiful and functionally favorable. With the development of technology, the physical and chemical functions of inorganic filling material are increased, so it is used for clinical cases extensively. In order to reflect the preferable effect and lengthen the using time of dental prothetic restoration, the clinicians try to improve the polishing of composite resin prothetic restoration. This research had proved that not only the beautiful appearance would be damaged, but also the composite resin easily absorbed micro-particles, so bacterial plaque would be piled up on surface of the composite resin prothetic restoration and led to lesion of oral tissue. Therefore, the study analyzes some current composite resins, sums up their polishing rules, and evaluates the effect of polishing method on polishing effect. Furthermore, it observes, compares and studies the bacterial status on different surface with different gloss, to provide clinical choice of optimal polishing function of composite and convenient polishing methods can be selected for clinic.Objection: To investigate the polishing rule of composite resin to evaluate the effect of polishing methods on polishing effect of different composite resin; To study the bacterial adhere at the different of surface gloss.Methods: There are 7 kinds composite resin, such as:z350,charisma palfique, beautifil, druafill, z100 and denfil.At the different bar of sand parper, polishthem one by one. Their rugosity and glossiness would be measured.The surface microstructure before and after polishing was observed by scanning electron micro-scope(SEM), and the polishing function and rule of different composite resin would be discussed. According to the experimental result, z350,charisma and palfique were selected because of their different filling material and polishing characteristics.The effect of polishing methods on polishing effect was observed by changing the polishing method which was a parameter of having an effect on polishing effect. The method of detection is the same as the experiment 1.At the different of rugosity,the number of bacterial colony were detected by bacterial plaque adherency experiment on z350,charisma and palfique. Results: 1.①From 400# to 1200#, the rugosity of seven composite resin was decreased,but the change of the glossiness was not obvious.②In 1500#,with the low extent decreasing of rugosity, the glossiness of Z350 were increased。③From 2500# to 3000#,the rugosity of beautiful and durafill composite resin was not obviously decreased, but their glossiness were increased more than befor .The rugosity of the other five composite resin changed little, the glossiness of Z350 and palfique were increased yet.④The glossiness of charisma,denfil and Z100 was not changed in polishing process。2. SEM showed: The nanometer filling material of Z350 polymerized nanometer clique is mixed in the resin base material, the filling material did not fall off after polishing. palfique, the mixed nanometer particle diameter arranged uniformitly. There was not deciduous filling material,but on surface,the wavilness scratch was seen. Charisma was rugged obviously on surface,the cavity was leave after filling material sheded. Beautifil was also rugged obviously on surface .The wavilness scratch was seen in the denfil,durafill and z100,but cavity was not obvious.3. The polishing effect of the rainbow sof-lex discs polishing plate was better than composite polishing kit. SuperBuff Water solubility polishing wheel was the best polishing tool that satisfied the clinic.4. The wavilness scratch was seen on surface of three composite resin after composite polishing kit CA0310 treatment. But the wavilness scratch was decreased after sof-lex discs rainbow polishing plate treatment, and went with super buff water solubility polishing wheel ,the scratch was decreased obviously, tending to smooth.5. The glossiness had a great effect on bacterial adhesion,and their relations were direct correlation.Conclusions: The polishing function is important in new type of composite resin.At present, most of composite resin belong to high polishing material.Meanwhile,the polishing tool and polishing process were important to good polishing effect besides the function of resin itself. The study indicated that most of the composite resins achieved favourable polishing effects by suitable polishing condition.
