Objective To study the prevalent trend of etiology of children's infectious disease in hospital during January 2003~December 2007,which provides the proof about the clinical care for doctor. Methods To detect the etiology in 3367 children with the infectious disease in children antibody assays (latex agglutination text, enzyme immunoassay, micro-immunofluorescence test) was applied. The specimen is blood, urine, nasopharynx secretion, soil, pleural effusion, CSF, pus. To analysis the prevalent trend of etiology and the drug tolerance of bacterial. Results In the 3367 cases, we detected 1008 pathogens that contain 580 cases (57.54%) of mycoplasma (MP), 76 cases (7.54%) of Chlamydia (CP), 270 cases (26.79%) of virus, 82 cases (8.13%) of bacterias. Adenovirus (ADV), RS virus(RSV), EB virus play an important role in these viral pathogens, and so do pneumonia Klebsiella, PRSP, Escherichia Coli in the bacterial pathogens. There was relationship between total positive rate of pathogens of the infectious disease and season and age, but not for sex and nationality. Positive rate of pathogens was highest in autumn and children over 6 years. Positive rate of pathogens was lowest in winter and infants aged less 6 months. Used by Chi-square test, judging by P<0.05 whether is statistically significant. Conclusions The main pathogens of children's infectious disease are MP, CP, ADV, RSV, EBV. The main bacterial pathogens are pneumonia Klebsiella, PRSP, Escherichia Coli.
