An Analysis Of The Characteristics Of Cancer Patients In The First Affiliated Hospital Of Xinjiang Medical University During 2002-2007

Purpose: to investigate the distribution of cancer in the first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang medical university during 2002-2007, afford the materials for the government. Methods: a total of 28387 cases with cancer proved pathological from in the first affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university during 2002-2007 was analyzed. we analyzed the total cases ,sex, age ,nations and treatment, and investigated the difference between the materials of 1990-1999. Results :from 2002-2007,the number of cancer patients was increasing year by year;the median age is 58-61, but the median age of laryngeal carcinoma ,breast cancer ,bone and articular malignant tumor ,urinary bladder carcinoma was decreasing year by year, and the median age of leukemia, gastric carcinoma and cervical cancer was increasing year by year, the number of minority nationality cancer patients was increasing too, the proportion of esophageal cancer in Kazak people and cervical cancer in Uigur people are higher than other nationalities people. Among all cases, 84.56% patients need combined therapy. Conclusion: the study show that the patients of malignant tumor are increasing every year, the median age of some tumor patient is younger, the proportion of esophageal cancer in Kazak people is increase ,most cancer patients need combined therapy.
