Objective: To study on the correlation of renin gene Tagging SNPs (rs5705? rs6676670 and rs1464816) different genotypes and related clinical phenotypes under antihypertensive drugs effects in Kazak essential hypertensive patients. Method: To survey hypertension risk factors in the number of 1218 Kazak people who are choosed randomly .They are 18-69 years lived in Xinjiang. First-diagnosed patients without antihypertensive meditation history were recruited. All recruited subjects were randomly grouped into two groups and recieved captopril and atenolol treatment for three weeks. REN Tagging SNPs rs6676670?rs5705 and rs1464816 polymorphism of renin gene were genotyped in these subjects by using polymerase chain reaction-ligase detection reaction(PCR-LDR).Result: There was significant difference of the level of aldosterone and Angâ…¡after medication and the before in captopril. The genotype frequency of renin gene Tagging SNPs rs6676670 and rs5705 distribution is in the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The genotype frequency of renin gene Tagging SNP rs1464816 distribution is not in the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.There was a significant difference of SBP decreased in renin gene rs6676670 genotype after medication. We didn't found that the correlations of rs 5705A/C?rs6676670G/T and rs1464816C/T genotypes and the changes of DBP?PRA?Angâ…¡?ALD after medication. Conclusion: The results suggested that the genotypes of rs5705 and rs1464816 of renin gene might not be associated with the effect antihypertensive treatment in Kazak population of Xinjiang by captopril and atenolol. It was correlation between REN rs6676670 genotype and the change level of SBP after medication.
