| Objective: To explore a more effective method that treated children forearm fracture with plaster through the research of the forearm rotary strength of the normal children. Methods: 120 cases aged from 10 to 12 in daqing city were tested and measured their left and right forearm rotary strength on the pronation and the supination with the Forearm- Rotate-Dynamometer manufactured by ourselves. Different gendered and aged children were analyzed the differences between the left forearm rotary strength and the right forearm rotary strength on the pronation and the supination. Statistical analysis was performed. Results: 1. Pronated muscles strength was larger than supine muscles strength in the left forearm. Supine muscles strength was larger than pronated muscles in the right forearm. 2. Differences between the supine muscles strength and the pronated muscles were more manifest with age increasing. Differences between the supine muscles strength and the pronated muscles decreased with age increasing. Conclusion: 1. The left forearms of right handedness children should be fixed with plaster on supination. 2. The right forearms of right handedness children should be fixed with plaster on slight 10°-20°supination. |
