Bai Huasheshecao is the whole dried herb of Hedyotis diffusa Willd.[Oldenlandia diffusa (Willd.) Roxb.], which is produced in Fujian Province, Guangdong Province, Guangxi Province, Yunnan Province. The chemical constituents of Bai Huasheshecao contained Terpene, Anthraquinone, Flavonoids, Steroid, Organic acid, Polyose, et al.. Bai Huaseshecao is effective on heat-clearing and detoxicating, inducing diuresis to reduce edema and promoting blood circulation to arrest pain. Its clinical application includes treating sphagitis, urinary tract infection, bacillary dysentery, venomous snake bite and cancer.To intimately control quality of Bai Huasheshecao Injection and its medicinal substances, this study established the fingerprint inspection method of Bai Huashesecao Injection. The result of the accuracy study showed: the RSD of the relative retention time of every concurred peak is below0.1%, and the RSD of the relative area of every concurred peak is below 1.2%.The whole system of detector is suitable for the detecting the finger print pattern of the injection. The result of the repeatability studies showed: the RSD of the relative retention time of every concurred peak is below 0.1%, the RSD of relative area of every concurred peak is below 1.2%. The repeatability is met with the need of the detection for finger print pattern of the injection. The result of the stability study showed: and the RSD of relative retention time of every concurred peak is below 0.1%, the RSD of the relative area of every concurred peak is below 0.9%. The injection is stable at room temperature.This study also established the fingerprint inspection method of Bai Huashesecao.
