Clinical Study On Treatment Of Climacteric Depression With XiaoGengJieYu Decoction

Objective: To observe the effect of XiaoGengJieYu Decoction (XGJYD) in treating climacteric depression with and kidney deficiency and liver depression to explore its mechanism.Methods:60 patients were divided into two groups at random:the treatment group( 30 cases, treated with XGJYD ) and the control group(30 cases, treated with Nilestriol Tablets).Before and after treatment, the clinical somatic and mental symptoms, the development of endocrine, vegetative nerve system were observed. The HAMD scoring,levels of 5-HT,NE in plasma were determined before and after treatment.Results: The totle effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%, while that of the control group was 63.33%. The difference between the two groups was significant (P<0.05 ). XGJY Decoction is effective to improve the symptom, and rectify the somatic and mental symptoms and neuroendocrine dysfunction. Conclusion: XGJYD is an effective recipe in treating of the kidney deficiency and liver depression of climacteric depression. The effect may be achieved through increasing serum E2,decreasing FSH and LH regulating neuroendocrine system and regulating the synthesis and release of monoamine neurotransmitter.
