Objective: To research the clinical effect of Surgical Treatment forⅢdegree Medial Collateral Ligament Sprain of the Knee Joint. Method: All the cases in this study were MCL sprain patients from the Shan Dong University of TCM Affilitated Hospital orthopeadics impatient. There were 21 cases male and 19 cases female aging from 17 to 67. The tear spot of 13 cases were the femoral attachment; 4 cases were the tibial attachment; 23 cases were the body region. There were 24 cases with associated injuries. There were 36 cases fresh injuries and 4 cases chronic injuries. All the cases were evaluated by the Lysholm Knee Sport Injury Score System. The scores ranged from 21 to 74 averaging 47.625. Result: The average score of the patients were elevated from 47.625(21~74)before operation to 88.575(74~99) after operation by following-up for 6~12 months, which showed significant difference according to statistics (P<0.01). Conclusion: The clinical effect of surgical treatment for theⅢdegree Medial Collateral Ligament Sprain of the Knee Joint was affirmative. Surgery could effectively cure or improve the laxity or instability due to MCL sprain. |
