Objective: Recognizing the rhythmic patterns of Five Zangs diseases with the help of the statistics on the first-hand clinical cases.Methods: Visual FoxPro 6.0, as the development environment, had been used to develop a Chinese interface and related database structure. To obtain the frequency of Five Zangs'diseases caused by the Six Climatic Evils or Five Endogenous Evils in Five Seasons, some programs were compiled in SAS 6.12.φcorrelation test was done between the Six Climatic Evils, the Five Endogenous Evils, the Five Zangs'diseases and the Five Seasons.Results: The frequency of Five Zangs'diseases which were caused by the Six Climatic Evils or Five Endogenous Evils in the Five Seasons were obtained.φcorrelation results between the Six Climatic Evils, the Five Endogenous Evils, the Five Zangs'diseases and the Five Seasons had been obtained.Conclusions:①The Six Climatic Evils result in diseases seasonally, but the Six Climatic Evils do not have one to one correspondence with the Five Zangs'diseases.②The Five Endogenous Evils have one to one correspondence with the Five Zangs'diseases, but do not result in diseases seasonally.③There are not one to one correspondence between the Five Zangs'diseases and the Five Seasons.④Summer-Heat, Exopathic Dampness and Exopathic Fire should be summarized into Summer-Heat.⑤Zhang Xia is late summer .
