Objective: To study the effects of the expression of FHIT,CXCR4 and CD82 on growth, invasion and metastasis in breast carcinoma, in order to provide some valuable evidence for prognosis and biotherapy. Methods: The expressive levels of FHIT, CXCR4 and CD82 were detected by Envision immunohistochemistry in 75 cases of breast carcinoma, and 38 cases of non-tumorous breast tissue. Their relationship with clinic-pathological features and survival was also analyzed. Results: (1) The expression ratios of FHIT in non-tumorous breast tissue and in breast carcinoma were 92.1% and 52.0%, respectively having significant difference in the metastasis of lymph nodes, while no significant difference was observed in the size of tumor, the menstruation condition and the expression of ER, PR and CerBb-2, the histologic grade and clinical stages. (2) The expression ratios of CXCR4 in non-tumorous breast tissue and in breast carcinoma were 10.5% and 62.6%, respectively having significant difference (P<0.05). The CXCR4 expression level positively correlated with metastasis of lymph nodes (P<0.05), while no significant difference was observed in the size of tumor, the menstruation condition and the expression of ER, PR and CerBb-2, the histologic grade and clinical stages. (3)The expression ratios of CD82 in non-tumorous breast tissue and in breast carcinoma were 94.7% and 44.0%, respectively having significant difference (P<0.05). The CD82 expressive level negtively correlated with clinical stages, metastasis of lymph nodes (P<0.05), while have positive correlation with survival time. No significant difference was observed in menstruation condition, the expression of ER, PR, CerB-2, the size of tumor and the histologic grade. (4)There were statistically significant correlation among FHIT, CXCR4 and CD82. (5)The analysis of single factor revealed that the expression of FHIT, CXCR4, CD82 was significantly related with the prognosis of patients (p<0.05).Conclusion: (1) FHIT, CXCR4 and CD82 all have high relationship with the metastasis of lymph node. (2) FHIT, CXCR4 and CD82 play an important role in growth, development, invasion and metastasis in breast carcinoma. (3) There is statistically significant cooperation among FHIT, CXCR4 and CD82. (4) Detection of FHIT, CXCR4 and CD82 may have therapeutic effects in breast carcinoma on gene level.
