Methods: Taking immunohistochemiatry streptavidin-peroxidase (SP) method to detect the FHIT gene expression in 128 cases of invasive ductal breast cancer and 50 cases with benign lesions, and detect the ER and PR expression in 128 cases of invasive ductal breast cancer.Using four-frame table. The difference of FHIT expression between invasive ductal breast carcinoma and benign breast tumor tissue enumeration data was analyzed with rate or ratio. Under the conditions of fit the theoretical frequency usingχ~2 test to analyze the ralationship between the FHIT protein in invasive ductal breast carcinoma and clinical pathological factors. Taking pairing data relevance analyze the ralation of FHIT gene in invasive ductal breast carcinoma and ER, PR. Results: the FHIT gene positive was demonstrated in 35 of 50 cases with benign lesions (adenosis of breast) 70.00% and in 35 of 128 cases with invasive ductal breast cancer 27.34%, The positive rate of FHIT protein in breast cancer tissues was lower than that in benign breast tumor, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The expression of FHIT protein in breast cacinoma was correlated with the histological grade, lymph node metastasis, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) and independence with tumor size, menopause, TNM stage (P>0.05). The rank correlation drawn FHIT protein expression with ER and PR expression associated with statistical significance(P<0.05). Conclusion: 1.The expression of Fhit decreased in breast cacinoma 2. Fhit was correlated with the histological grade, lymph node metastasis, indicates the Fhit expression takes part in the carcinogenesis and progression of breast cacinoma in a certain degree. 3. Correlation exists between FHIT gene, ER and PR expression in breast cancer. 4. FHIT protein, ER and PR combined detection may help diagnosis and evaluate the malignant condition, prognosis of breast cacinoma. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | breast carcinoma, FHIT, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
