The Impact Of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy FOLFOX7 On The Therapeutic Strategy For Advanced Gastric Carcinoma

Objective To study the effect of neuoadjuvant chemotherapy with FOLFOX7 in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer and the changes of MVD, AI/PI and PCNA in tumour cells,in order to find out its impact on the therapeutic strategy for AGC.Methods Between June 2005 and February 2007,30 patients with locally advanced gastic carcinoma were included in our study..All patients were randomized divided into experimental group and control group.Experimental group patients were first treated with NACT for certain period followed by surgery.Control group patients were directly treated with surgery.The variance of two group was studied at last. Result 1. NACT with FOLFOX7 signifcantly downstaged of AGC with little toxicity. 12(80%) patients in the experimental group achieved R0 resection, vs a (60%) patients in the control group.The rate of lymph node metastasis had statistical difference(p<0.001). 2. There was significant different expression in MVD,PCNA and PI/AI(P<0.05) between experimental group and control group.Conclusion 1. NACT with FOLFOX7 downstaged patients with locally advanced gastric cancer.2. There was significantly statistical different expression of MVD,PCNA and PI/AI(P<0.05) between experimental group and control group.
