Objective: A study of the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal canalstenosis posterior decompression surgery, and to observe its clinicaleffect, discuss some relevant problems.Methods: The median incision of the posterior lumbar vertebra was take,retained the continuity of the spinous process of vertebrae, the interspinaland the supraspinal ligament, the fascia lumbodorsalis and so on.Osteotomy was done at base of the spinous process; excised the superiorand the inferior border of the vertebra panel, and the yellow ligament,undermining enlargement of the central spinal canal and the nerve rootcanal were then carried out. 68 patients with degenerative lumbar spinalstenosis, were treated with above mentioned procedure. After 3, 6, 12and 24 months of the surgery, the JOA curative effect evaluation standardwas used to appraise the curative effects, and contrasted theirimprovement rates.Result: The clinical practice demonstration, there were no seriouscomplication while patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosiswere treated with above mentioned procedure. 68 patients had follow-upfor one twe years. The excellent and good results respectively were 86.0%,86.1%,86.0%,86.5%, the two improvement rates hadnon-significance difference (P>0.05).Conclusion: This surgery with less complication reduced pressurethoroughly to the mian, and the side canalis spinalis and obviouslyincreased the area of the spinal canal; could maintain the spinal stability.It is a good method.
