| ObjectiveTo investigate the temperature variety of steel plate which was fixed by steel nail in humerus of hare and to discuss if ultra shortwave diathermy (USWD) can be used in the body which have metal (e.g. steel ).So to provide basement for clinical work.Methods and measuresThere are two groups.Group one is contrast group: without internal fixation. Group two is experiment group: with internal fixation in humerus. The USWD was applied to hare's humerus of the two groups with the third level, 10 minutes. The distance between the two electrode is 6 cm, the distance between the skin is 1 cm. Recording the temperature by optical fiber. The characteristic of this thermoscope is that it is more stable and it can eliminate interfere of the USW electric field. The end of the optical fiber will be put at the facies of the humerus of the two groups. During the 10 minutes of USWD, the variety of tempreture will be recorded at the end of every minute as T1-T10.Then make fracture on humerus. After 3 days of resist inflammation , the humerus will be given USWD with the third level for 10 minutes for 15 days. Then the tissues around the metal will be taken to make pathologic diagnosis. After that, a steel thread will be encircled around sciatic. Then the pygal muscle will be given USWD with the third level for 10 minutes for 15 days .After that, the nerve around the metal will be taken to make pathologic diagnosis.Results The temperature of both groups are going to stable after 5 minutes of USWD. The mean's difference of T6—T10 is 0.290℃.The max change of tempreture of the contrast proup is 1.2℃, and the max change of tempreture of the experiment group is1.25℃. It exited significant discrepancy, P<0.05. Pathologic diagnosis: no pathologic change around nerves; immature fibre bone and immature trabecular bone, some osteoblast ,fibre repair;hyperplasia of fibre, muscl fibre arrange foule-up, slight inflammation.ConclusionsIn this experiment condition, according to statistics, it existed significant discrepancy. But as it is known that the tempreture can bring substaintialy injury to cells of people only when it is higher than 42℃. In the experiment group, the highest tempreture is 35.7℃and the max change of tempreture is 1.25℃. So according to Physiology and Pathology, we believe that, under this experiment condition, USW can be used to tissues with steel internal fixation safely. |
