| Objective: To study thermometric and organizational change of living organism with .metals insert after ultrashort wave therapy or undamped medium frequency electrotherapy, so as to provide bases for clinical application.Method: There are twenty adult rabbits, male or female, weighting 2-3kg.The rabbits are randomly separated to high frequency electric team and medium frequency electric team. Every team is also separated to steel plate team and titanium plate team. There are five rabbits in a team. Insert steel plate to inferior extremity of two femurs of every rabbit in steel plate. Insert titanium plate to inferior extremity of two femurs of every rabbit in steel plate. Feed all rabbits for six days. The left are the control side. Do the ultrashort wave therapy of warm dosage for fifteen minutes or do undamped medium frequency electric therapy of 0.1-0.3mA/cm~2 for twenty minutes to the right thigh. Make little cuts beside the metal of the right femurs and the place which is 2cm far away from metals. Insert the probe along little cuts and measure the temperatures of the tissues which are near metals and the tissues which are 2cm far away from metals. Measure the temperatures before therapy, after 5 minutes, after 10 minutes and after 15 minutes in ultrashort wave therapy team. Measure the temperatures before therapy, after 5 minutes, after 10 minutes, after 15 minutes and after 20 minutes. After therapy, take out of the tissues which are near metals and the tissues which are 2cm far away from metals of each side. Do the HE staining and observe the pathological change. Results: The temperature of the tissues which are near metals and the tissues which are 2cm far away from metals advance obviously. The temperature of the tissues which are near steel plate is higher than the temperature of the tissues which are near titanium plate. But there is not obvious affection in the undamped medium frequency electric therapy team. There are little injuries in the tissues which are near metals after 15 minutes of ultrashort wave therapy, but are not the serious injuries, for example the degeneration and necrosis. There are no obvious changes in the tissues which are far away from metals. The affection of steel plate is little larger than the affection of titanium plate. There is not obvious affection in undamped medium frequency electric therapy team.Conclusion: The little dosage and short time of high frequency electric therapy or medium frequency electric therapy could be applied to living organism with metal insert. But large dosage and longer time of high frequency electric therapy could not be applied to living organism because the changed trend of tissues which are near metals. There will be damage if the time of therapy is longer enough or the power of instrument is larger enough. |
