Objective:To discuss the feasibility of construction tissue engineered artificial chest wall by using the collagen/ hydroxyapatite coated polydioxanone mesh as the scaffold. Methods:Integrate the polydioxanone mesh, and then coated by collagen/ hydroxyapatite;Isolate and expand rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in vitro;Seed the cells onto the rhBMP-2 soaked collagen/hydroxyapatite coated polydioxanone mesh(HA/CS-PDO);Then observe the biologic feature of the cells .Results:The cells were growing, proliferating, ossific differentiating well on the scaffold. Conclusion:The porous composite is biocompatible and suitable for a scaffold for tissue-engineered chest wall by combining with recombinant human bone morphorgenetic protein-2.
