Objective: By using the bacterial culture, To observe the influence of parenteral treatmentwith Imipenem+Cilastatine on the number of four intestinal bacteria on colonic intestinalmucosa and the phenomenon of bacterial translocation and colonization of candidaMethods: One hundred and twenty rats were divided randomly into normal controlgroups (C groups), bacteremia groups(B groups), bacteremia+Imipenem+Cilastatinegroups(T groups). C groups were divided into C1.C2 and C3,each including 10 rats Bgroup were further divided into B1(14 rats).B2 (16 rats) and B3 (18rats),so were T1 (12rats) T2 (14 rats) and T3 (16 rats). B groups and T groups were made septicemiamodels. The mouse of T groupe were given Imipenem+Cilastatine 100mg/Kg/d byintravenous injection after septicemia models established 24 hours. At 4th trial day, 11thtrial day and 18th trial day, intestinal bacteria on colonic intestinal mucosa of mousewere done quantitative analysis, and determine the bacterial content of liver, spleen, kidneyand blood.Results:①The mortality of the T group is lower than the B group (P<0.01)②Thecolonization of the candida. in T group is morethan the C group and theB group(P<0.01)③There were no bacterial translocation in the three group④. After used the antibiotic 4days and 11 days, the number of Enterobacteriaceae, Bacillus bifidus and Bacillus acidilactici decreased significangtly(P<0.01 or P<0.05) and the number of enterococciincreased significangtly (P<0.01) when the antibiotic stoped one week, the intestinal florareturned to norma, there were no difference between the three groups (P>0.05).Conclusions: Long-term parenteral treatment with Imipenem+Cilastatine can causedramatic changes of intestinal ecology and colonization of Candida without the bacterial—transloction.
