Obejective To detect the Effects of P50 Auditory Evoked Potential in Hippocampi of Rats after Exposure to 1800 MHz Radiofrequency FieldMethods 96 SD (Sprague Dawley) rats (48 in each gender) . 4week-old (including one week for environmental adaptation, body weight 50~75g) . The rats were randomly divided into four groups, which included 2 exposure groups and 2 control groups. Two exposure groups rats were respectively and continuously radiated for 21days (12 hours/day) by 1800 MHz microwave fields with power density of 0.5 mW/cm~2 (groupⅠ) or 1.0 mW/cm~2 (groupⅡ) . Simultaneously, two sham-controls were carried out. Auditory evoked potential P50 was recorded by the conditioning-testing paradigm presented with auditory double-clicks stimuli. detect the Effects of P50 Auditory Evoked Potential in Hippocampi of Rats after Exposure to 1 800 MHz Radiofrequency Field. The responses to auditory evoked potential were compared four groups. Results In group male exposure group rats, the Auditory EvokedPotential in Hippocampi of Rats T/C ratio, the peak-peak size of S2 P50 has change and had significant differences compared with control group (P< 0.05 ); In any other groups rats, the Auditory Evoked Potential in Hippocampi of Rats T/C ratio, the peak-peak size of S2 P50, the peak-peak size of S1 P50, the latency of S2 P50, the peak-peak size of S2 P50, there are no significant differences among the groups (p>0.05 ) .Conclusion The affect of 1800 MHz radiofrequency field with powerdensity of 0.5 mW/cm2 on P50 auditory evoked potential in hippocampi of male rats was observed.
