| Objective: To study the changes of sensory gating when neonatal guinea pigs are in hyperbilirubinemia and investigate the relationship of sensory gating with nerval toxicity in hyperbilirubinemiamodel. Methods: Thirty experimental animals were randomly divided into three groups : control group(c), 100 μ g/g groups(4h,T1a and 8h,Tlb),200 μg/g groups(4h,T2a and 8h,T2b).Every group includes 6 animals which were 5~7 days old. All guinea pigs were implanted electrode under anaesthesia in cereberalcortex. The hyperbilirubinemia models were made by celiac injection of bilirubin solution, and control group were made by celiac injection of saline(0.5ml). T/C ratio were recorded before and after injection and their behavior were observed after 4h or 8h injection. After the treatments, the animals were executed, fixed in corresponding time points and then frost-slices were made. Thedata were processed with the SPSS 11.5 statistical method. Results: (1) The guinea pigs of experimental groups appeared abnormal behavior in different degree. (2) The brain tissures were stained with yellow bilirubin and observed under light microscope. Some neurocytes shrinked, chromtin condensated, at the same time, some neurocytes swelled, nucleus dissovlved. (3) The comparison of T/C ratio of neonatal guinea pigs between group:the T/C ratio of 100 μ g/g group (Tl) and 200 μ g/g group(T2) both decreased compared with the control group and there is obvious statistical significance between them(p<0.01).(4) The comparison of T/C ratio of neonatal guinea pigs in group: there is obvious statistical significance between the comparison of before and after celiac injection conditions (p<0.01). The T/C ratio of 100 μ g/g group(4h) T1a and 100 μ g/g group(8h) T1b both decreased compared with the 200 u g/g group(8h) and it is statistical significance (p<0.05).Conclusion: The T/C ratio in hyperbilirubinemia changed with the different injection concentration and time of bilirubin solution, and it can forcast the injury of nerval toxicity in hyperbilirubinemia early stage. Sensory gating,as a measurement of cognization and attention, could be used to evlaute the injury of brain and to prevent bilirubin encephalopathy and its sequela with certain early meddling. |
