Most of Schiff base compounds have anticancer and antifungalactivities and can be used in the synthesis of the antibacterial drugs.Multi-substituted Schiff base compounds such as carbonyl or1,2,4-triazole substituted Schiff base compounds are attracting muchattention in recent years because of their biological activities.Based on the analysis of bibliographer and evaluation of theprinciples of different processes, there series of 35 novelmulti-substituted Schiff base compounds were synthesized. Themolecular structure of the Schiff base compounds synthesized wasidentified by UV, IR, 1HNMR and Elementary Analysis. The singlecrystal structure the compounds was determined by crystal X-rayanalysis. The characteristic of crystal structure of the compounds weredescribed and analyzed.3,5-dihydroxyphenyl-hydrazonecarbonyl Schiff base compoundsand 6-methyl-4-hydroxy-2(1H)pyridone-1,2,4-triazole thiahydrazoneSchiff base compounds were synthesized respectively starting from 6-methyl-4-hydroxy-2(1H)pyridone-3-hydrazine,CS2,hydrazine.1,2,4-tr-iazole, aldehyde and so on by the reactions of cyclic and condensation.The mechanism of the key reaction of condensation was studied.The biological activities of the compounds were studiedexperimentally. As the results that the antibacterial activity of3-(4-hydroxy-2(1H)pyridine-4-amino-1,2,4-triazoline-5-thiadone Schiffbase compound is much higher. The antibacterial activities of the kind ofpyridine-1,2,4-triazoline-5-thiadone Schiff base compounds are superiorto those of other kind of 1,2,4-triazoline-5-thiadone Schiff basecompounds.
