Objective To analyze the clinical feature and imagelogy diversity of extensivecerebral infarction. Methods To investigate the correlated changes about etiopathogensis, clinicalfeature CT and MRI of 98 patients with extensive cerebral infarction. Results Obstruction were found more frequently at distal end of internalcarotid arteria or proximal end of middle cerebral arteria. Infarctions were found mostfrequently at metopo-summit-temporal lobe and capsula interna nuclei lentiformisares region. And the death rate of infaration was high, often complicating withhypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes, infection diseases and MODS.Conclusion CT and MRI could easily discover the location and ambit of thefocus of infection and dropsy, especially MRI possess hypersensitive for extensivecerebral infarction. So MRI is the most valuable mean to diagnose extensive cerebralinfarction of acute stage. The clinical feature like disgorging or the level of consciousdisturbace and fever are the main factors to the post-treatment.
