Objective:To explore the level of true insulin and adiponectin on an empty stomach and after 75g glucose burden in the saliva of patients with type 2 diabetes when preliminary diagnosed and the persons as normal control,and then the dependability with TI & APN in serum.To provide evidence for the saliva to be a new kind of detecting sample.Methods:All study objects took OGTT,then they were divided into 2 groups.They were 38 patients with type 2 diabetes when preliminary diagnosed and 35 people as normal control. After equilibrateing age,sex,body mass index,measure insulin and adiponectin in the serum and saliva using BA-ELISA with specific monoclonal antibody sandwich.Results:1,There is no statistical significance on static flow rate between the group of patients with diabetes when preliminary diagnosed and the group of normal control.Insulin and adiponectin can be detected in the saliva.2,The level of adiponectin in serum and saliva in the group of type 2 diabetes is lower than that of the group of normal control(P<0.05).Change of the level of APN in serum and saliva in both groups is time-dependent and the total tendencies are similar.The levels of adiponectin in the two groups fluctuate in a small range and the change is not significant.There is direct correlation(P<0.05)of APN in serum and saliva at the beginning and at the2ndand the 3rd hour.3,The true insulin level in serum and saliva in the group of type 2 diabetes is lower than that of the group of normal control(P<0.05)except for the 3rdhour.The overall tendencies of time-dependent true insulin level in serum and saliva are similar while there was difference between the changes of true insulin in serum in different time span.There is interaction between timing and grouping.The tendency is increasing gradually and then restore but there is no statistical significance.There is direct correlation(P<0.05)of TI in serum and saliva at the beginning and at the1stand the 3rdhour in the patients with type 2 diabetes and normal control.Conclusions:1,The secretion of the salivary gland in the patients with diabetes when preliminary diagnosed still exists.True insulin and adiponectin can be detected in saliva in ELISA kit.2,There is difference between the level of adiponectin in the patients with type 2 diabetes and normal control.The adiponectin wasn't affected by glucose load.The concentration of adiponectin and true insulin in saliva changes follow that in serum. 3,There is difference between the level of true insulin in the patients with type 2 diabetes and normal control.The true insulin wasn affected by glucose load.However,the function of islet of pancreas in patients with type 2 diabetes decreased.4,There is correlation of TI and APN.the level of composition in saliva may respond the level of composition in sersum.Salivary may become an observation index of invirulence check to diagnose diabetic.
