Lysimachia paridiformis Franch. whose scientific name is narrow leaf loosestrife, belongs to a species of lysimachia in primulaceae. It is perennation herbage and distribution in Hu Bei, Si Chuan, Gui Zhou and so on. The whole part of this plant can be used to treat promoting blood circulation, stopping pain dispelling wind and dredging collaterals. The main functions of L.paridiformis var (stenophylla Franch) can treat wind dampness, hemiplegia, wean, infantile convulsion, traumatic injuries. In this thesis, the fresh Lysimachia paridiformis Franch. is dried and smashed. Then, it is dipped in turn by 90% ethanol, 80% ethanol and 70% ethanol and it is extracted by chloroform and ethyl acetate. All the parts are separated and purified by the skills as follows, silica gel column, polyamide column, LH-20 sephades column, HPLC preparation, TLC and recrystallization. There are 8 compounds purified from ethyl acetate Layer and identify 7 of 8 by physical & chemical parameters, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and mass spectrum. The compounds areβ-sitosterol, hexadecanoic acid , four dodecanoic acids, quercetin, , quercetin -3-O-β-glucoside, rutin andβ- daucosterol. The one compound which is not listed above is identifying.
