The author builds up the data base and manages all the data with the softwareExcel.Results1. On research methods: Firstly, the word "randomization" appears in everyessay, but 206(92.7%) essays do not describe the detailed methods. Five ofthem (2.3%) are with wrong randomization. None of them describes the concealedrandom assignment. Secondly, 217(97.7%) essays haven't the description ofblind method. Thirdly, only 4 (1.8%) essays mention the follow-up visiting.Fourthly, 91(41.0%) essays do not set up statistic methods before hand. Fifthly, only 12(5.4%) essays make the conclusions according to the results of treatmentand only 22(10.0%) records can discuss the results with the representativeof the samples. And lastly, 79(35.6%) records do not mention the clinical andstatistic significance of the results.2. On professional techniques: First, almost all the essays are not rigorouswith the sample selection. Most of them can use some established diagnosticcriteria to determine the research target, but 55(24.8%) do not mentiondiagnostic criteria and 20(9.0%) use diagnostic criteria made by themselves,133(59.9%) essays do not have the standards on adoption while 159(71.6%)haven't the standards on rejection. Second, not enough attention is paid tothe formulation of standards on syndrome and disease differentiation of TCM.Only 58(26.1%) essays have their standards on it. Third, on treatment measure,172(77.5%) essays use fixed prescription and 135(60.8%) use fixed measure.Fourth, 166(52.3%) essays use self made curative effect criteria. Fifth,49(22.1%) essays fail to distinguish the primary outcomes from the secondaryones. And lastly, little attention is paid on the description of adversereaction, 197(88.7%) essays do not mention it.ConclusionAs the estimating results of the essays show, some problems remain on boththe research methods and the professional techniques. Thus knowledge aboutepidemiology and Evidence-based Medicine (EBM) should made popular toresearches of the TCM Treatment on CRF so as to improve the quality of essaysin this field and have better guidance on clinical practice.
