Methicillin-resistant S.aureus ( MRSA) was one of the most important hospital-acquired and community-acquired pathogens currently. The number of infections caused by MRSA is increasing every year. The infections are more difficult to treat than others because of the resistance of the bacterium to the most antibiotics and the only of the first line antibiotics is vancomycin, and more, the hospital-origin spread caused by MRSA became a more serious problem. Infections caused by MRSA is regarded as one of three infectious deseases which are the most difficult to solve. It is a long history of the use of Chinese herb. Chinese herb showed distinct function in anti-infection, which has abundance resource, poly-target site, low harm side effect, hardly inducing drug-resistance. Chinese herb medicine bacterial inhibitors have chance to become a new research trend to cope more and more severe drug-resistance. The purpose of the study is to find the Chinese herb medicine bacterial inhibitors which have better function to MRSA.Sixteen isolates of MRSA and four isolates of MRCNS had been identified. Two pairs of primers were designed and synthesized according to the MRS gene reported in Genebank and 41 Staphylococcal isolates from clinical was identified by gene amplified. Those only amplified 528bp gene segment were MRSS, and those had 528bp 16SrRNA and 313bp mecA gene segment were MRS. S. aureus and coagulase negative staphylococcus were identified by Gram staining, hemolysis test, plasma-coagulase test. The drug-resistant phenotype of MRS was identified by susceptibility test to 20 antibiotics, and the result showed that MRS has multidrug resistance.Eighty-three Chinese herb medicine alcohol extracts had been prepared. 83 Chinese herb medicines ingredient had been extracted by alcohol recirculating, and the density was 1g/mL.Chinese herb's inhibitory activity was determined by agar diffusion reaction. The result showed that thirty Chinese herbs had inequality degree inhibitory action against MRS. They were chebulae, fructus; fructus mume; combined spicebush root; coptidis rhizo-me; radix et rhizoma rhei; garden burnet root; moutan cortex; fourstamen stephania root; caryophyllus; Cochineal Red A; bunge corydalis herb;gentiana macrophylla; gambir plant;cephalanopli, herba;stemonaroot,;andrographitis, herba; scutellariae barbatae, herba;danshen root; Glycyrrhiza uralensis; magnolia bark; paeoniae alba, radix; bupleuri, radix; forsythia suspense; caulis cistanchis; epimedii, herba; heartleaf houttuynia herb; Chinese globeflower; evodiae, fructus; Chinese lobelia herb; Zanthoxylum nitidum DC.Above all, chebulae, fructus; fructus mume; combined spicebush root; coptidis rhizo-me; radix et rhizoma rhei; garden burnet root; moutan cortex have obvious bacteriostasis activity. Chinese herbs have inhibitor activity to Aeromonas hydrophila; E.coli; chain coccus. The result showed that Chinese herbs have broad-spectrum antibacterial activity.Turkish gall had the most powerful antibacterial activity among 83 Chinese herb medicines. The diameter of bacteriostasis cingula was 26mm. It showed that Turkish galls had powerful inhibitor activity chemical compounds.Seven chemical compounds had been isolated by several color spectrum method. Three chemical compounds had been identified. They were gallic acid;methyl gallate and progallin A.The result of MIC test showed that Gallic acid, methyl gallate and progallin A all had obvious inhibitor activity against Aeromonas hydrophila,E.coli and chain coccus. Vitro bacteriostasis test showed that gallic acid had the most powerful inhibitor activity. MIC was 16μg/mL.
