Objective: To provide anatomical evidence for the frontal sinus surgery through agger nasi cell approach and through uncinate process approach by using the lamellar sectional anatomy image of frontal sinus to track frontal sinus's drainage path and to observe the main construction in the path and by measuring the data of agger nasi cell,uncinate and other correlated data and approach it's significance in operation of the frontal sinus.Methods: To obtain the continuous sectional data of the nasal part by using computerized cryomilling technique,observe frontal sinus's anatomical boundary and drainage path in different plane,measure the transverse diameter and vertical diameter and anteroposterior diameter of agger nasi cell,the thickness of agger nasi cell's anterior wall,the distance of center of agger nasi cell's anterior wall to anterior extremity of middle nasal concha's root, the height of uncinate process,the thickness of uncinate process's middle piece, the thickness of uncinate process's root and the thickness of nasolacrimal canal's medial wall connected with uncinate process's root,the introversion degree measure of uncinate process,the distance of ethmoidal bulla to uncinate process,the thickness of ethmoidal bulla's bone wall,the largest transverse diameter of ethmoidal bulla,the largest vertical diameter of ethmoidal bulla.Results: Frontal recess is a structure with complicate three dimensional space, the transverse diameter of agger nasi cell was (6.78±1.22)mm, the vertical diameter of agger nasi cell was (10.86±2.21)mm, the anteroposterior diameter of agger nasi cell was (8.19±1.23)mm, the thickness of agger nasi cell's anterior wall was (0.47±0.09)mm,the distance of center of agger nasi cell's anterior wall to anterior extremity of middle nasal concha's root was (7.12±0.74) mm, the height of uncinate process was (6.86±2.46)mm, the thickness of uncinate process's middle piece was (1.12±0.15)mm,the thickness of uncinate process's root was (1.27±0.22)mm,the thickness between uncinate process's root and nasolacrimal canal's medial wall was (1.71±0.08) mm , the introversion degree measure of uncinate process was (116.8±20.6)°,the distance of ethmoidal bulla to uncinate process was (6.86±0.24)mm,the thickness of ethmoidal bulk's bone wall was (0.26±0.12)mm,the largest transverse diameter of ethmoidal bulla was (9.62±2.26)mm,the largest vertical diameter of ethmoidal bulla was (12.93±6.89)mm.Conclusion: To comprehend the drainage path of frontal sinus is extraordinary important to a succeeded operation ,to combine the uncinate process and agger nasi and the anatomical relation to their surrouding construction can make definite location in a operation,the observation and measurement of agger nasi cell and uncinate process can provide anacomical instruction to the operation of frontal sinus,to research anatomic structure and anatomic relationship by using the lamellar sectional anatomy image of frontal sinus can obtain more accurate and complete information.
