ObjectiveTo investigate the etiologic changes of intestinal obstruction in the past decad, and to summary the therapeutic ecperience of intestinal obstruction.MethodsThe clinical data of 114 cases of intestinal obstruction were analyzd from September. 4, 2005 to Jan. 4, 2007. There were 30 cases in aged group(70~106year) and 84 cases in adult group(18~69year). There were 57 males and 57 femals.ResultsIn olded group, Neoplasm, adhesion and paralytic Intestinal obstruction were the most common causes, which accounted for 30%,20% and 16.7% respectively. While in adult group, they accounted for 22.6% .15.4% and 14.3% respectively. Obstruction caused by tumors,adhesions, paralytic Intestinal obstruction was 33.3%(10/30), 20%(6/30), 13.3%(4/30) in aged group, compared with 15.4%(13/71), 22.6%(19/65), 14.3%(12/72)in middle aged group, respectively(P<0.05, P>0.05, P>0.05). Incorporative diseases was 53.3%(16/30) in aged group, compared with 22.6%(19/84) in middle adult group.ConclusionsNeoplasm, adhesion and paralytic intestinal obstruction are the most common causes of intestinal obstruction. The incidence of intestinal obstruction cased by neoplasm in aged group is higher than that in middle aged group. Incorporative diseases were much higher in aged group than in adult group.
