objective To improve cognition of the early stage of AIDS and vigilance of possibility of transmission of HIV. Methods The clinical data and endoscopic findings of 2 cases were presented before diagnosis of AIDS. Combined with review of literature, gastrointestinal symptom of HIV infection, upper-endoscopic findings and how to avoid the transmission of HIV at the time of endoscopy were discussed. Both male patient had upper-gastrointestinal symptom and fever. Taking related medicine didn't done well. Casel is a haemophile who received many blood transfusion. Two patient had undergone endoscopy. Result Multi-ulcer had founded in inferior segment of casel's esophagus and pathological replacement was chronic inflammation with ulcer of mucous membrane of esophagus. Casel's HIV antibody was detected after 14days and presented probable positive; One big ulcer had founded in descendant duodenum of case2 and pathological replacement was mucous inflammation of duodenum. Case2's HIV antibody was detected after 7days and presented probable positive. Both 2 cases were diagnosed finally by center for disease control. Conclusion The early stage of AIDS is often lacking of typical clinical manifestation. It is required that we must think highly of this in clinical. It is important that adhere to strict protocol at all time for prevention to transmission of HIV.
