Investigation On The Active Essence Screening And Quality Evaluation Of Radix Isatidis Based On Thermodynamics

Quality evaluation and active essence screening of TCM is not only the core but also the foundation of TCM modernization. Guided by both the theories of TCM and Thermodynamics, the paper follows with the interest of biological effect in energy metabolism of biosystem influenced by Radix Isatidis. Radix Isatidis from the different producing area was used as the model. In this paper, the method of biothermodynamics for the study of quality evaluation and active essence screening was first put forward and established. The quality difference of Radix Isatidis from different producing area was illuminated. The main results were listed as follows:1.The bioassay method of Radix Isatidis was established initially by a market-basket analysis of biothermal fingerprint and HPLC fingerprint. The result showed that the contents of Benzoic acid and Salicylic acid resulted in the disparation of HPLC fingerprint. The analysis of HPLC fingerprint and biothermal fingerprint showed that Salicylic acid was the main biothermal essence.2.The method for the quality evaluation of Radix Isatidis was established initially based on biology caloric activity. The sample quality restrained the growth and metabolism of bacterium, while they decreased the growth rate constant and max output power. Radix Isatidis produced in Jiangsu Nantong showed remarkable biothermal active effect, which had a correlation with total organic acid, and it's IC50 is 4.6490mg/mL.The results indicated that quality evaluation and active essence screening system of Radix Isatidis based on thermodynamics was rapid speed, microamount, high effective and widespread, etc. It has afforded a new visual angle for the scientific research on TCM and a new technical platform for the modernization of TCM. This system could provide a new method for the treatment principle, preparation, compatibility and new drug research and development, etc.
