Objective: In order to seek the administrative pattern of single disease which suits for Xinjiang's situation and to solve the problems of seeing a doctor expensively and difficultly, combining the domestic and foreign disease administrative patterns and theories, according to the actual situation of the hospital, it is necessary to research one which has regional characteristics. Therefore, it can give references for health administrative sectors in Xinjiang about increasing the hospitals' economic and social benefits, enhancing the management of medical service quality and formulating unified expenditure standards of diseases by studying the components and influence factors of hospitalization expenditure of diseases in some Grade III-A general hospitals in Xinjiang and discussing scientific and standardized administrative means to restrict the enhancement of medical expenditure.Methods: The basic information on the home pages of medical records of 5055 inpatients was collected with using the review investigation method during from 2002 to 2004 in three hospitals. The information of 8 common and frequently-occurring diseases was selected based on the international classification of disease (ICD-10). Several targets including patient's social economic characteristics, disease characteristics, diagnosing and treating quality and data of each part which constituents the total hospitalization expenditure were investigated on the basis of the basic information on home pages of medical records.All the information was used to establish the database and proofread in Excel, and the T-test,...
