Objective: To appraise depression /anxiety status quo and influencing factors among patients from neurology, gastroenterology, gynecology and cardiology sections of polyclinic. To know about information about depression /anxiety distribution in somatic disease patients, and diagnosis, treatment and so on.Methods: 862 cases including outpatients and inpatients from neurology, gastroenterology, gynecology and cardiology sections of 4 polyclinics were collected with standard questionnaire which was done through face-to-face. Patients' emotional status was evaluated by hospital anxiety and depression scale (HAD) which was filled in by themselves, and a psychiatric doctor would appraise with Hamilton depression scale (HAMD)/Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) if the patients' score was more than 9 in HAD.Results: 17.87% patients had depression or anxiety emotion, 62.99% of which were identified as depression or anxiety disorder by a psychiatric doctor. The prevalence of depression or anxiety disorder was 12.65% in somatic disease patients investigated. The patients of digestive disease, suffered the highest prevalence of depression or anxiety, i.e. 25.68%. The prevalence rate of patients identified as depression co-morbid with anxiety disorder was 56.88%.
