Objective: To describe poverty stricken village resident's state of health, how they utilize the Primary health care services, and to analyze the health determinants. Thereby, a case study will be used to provide evidence to determine the extent of Primary Health Care in the poor and ethnic community and how better Primary Health Care can help the village become a health promotion village.Methods: l.Object Use key people, residents and their surroundings in the community of a poverty stricken village 2 .The contents include the demography, financing status, scope of Primary Health Care and the health determinants. 3. Data source: Focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, Participatory method, questionnaires, observations of surroundings, and collected documents.Results: 1. Building medical institution in the village and increasing the medical staff: â‘  A local village clinic is being constructed in the village. â‘¡Medical staff are located in only one area. This distribution is not reasonable. â‘¢The medical staff's abilities are insufficient. 2. The residents state of health: â‘ Common diseases include: cold, diarrhea, gynecological problems, arthritis, gastritis and back pain caused by overwork. â‘¡According to the severity of the disease, the distance to hospital or clinic, and their economic condition, individuals may select their health care provider. The Township clinic, township hospital and village doctors, respectively, are chosen most frequently. 3. Maternal health care: Pre-natal care and in-hospital delivery rates have not reached the national guidelines. 4. Child health care: â‘ Vaccination are routinely given. The vaccination rate reaches and even exceeds the national guidelines. â‘¡Need to enhance the quality of child care. 5. Sanitation: â‘ All areas of the village have running water, but the area of maintenance needs improvement. â‘¡The village has sanitary private and public toilet, though not enough. And the villagers still need encouragement to use them. 6. Health education: lacking health education activities. 7.
