| Objective: To study the prophylaxis and treatment of strengthening the spleen and kidney, activating blood circulation and getting rid of phelegm stagnation in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods:60 patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy were divided into two groups by random, among these patients, test group(30) were treated by Tang Zhouning which based on strengthening the spleen and kidney, activating blood circulation and getting rid of phelegm stagnation,and control group(36) were treated by Tang Maikang granule, two months was a course of treatment. After 60 days , the experiment index(blood glucose,blood lipid,blood rheology,HbA1c,ET,NO,insulin,sensitive index of insulinwere compared to those in the beginning.And observe and conform the effects of Tang Zhouning on blood sugar,blood lipid,insulin,nerval electrophysiological inspection and sorbitol in rat model with NPD. Results: The clinical study showed that Tang zhouning had good therapeutic efficacy in DPN, could effectively improne the clinical symptoms, descend the blood glucose and blood lipid, improve blood rheology and sensive index of insulin,improve the neural conduction.There is significant difference between the test group and the control group. And it is verified that Tang Zhouning has obvious effects on lowering blood sugar,blood lipid, sorbitol,improving the level of insulin,nerval electrophysiology. There is significant difference between the test group and the control group.Conclusion: The method of strengthening the spleen and kidney, activating blood circulation and getting rid of phelegm stagnation can prevent and treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
