Theory Research On BaoYuan Tang And Its Associated Prescriptions

The Byoyuan Tang of《BOAIXINJIAN》is a representative prescription of Nourishing Qi,its consisting principle of replenishing primordial Qi and deficiency,treating lung spleen and kidney concurrently summarized the essence of invigorating Qi of TCM, it is a classical prescription of nourishing Qi. The thesis discusses the origin and development,defines the concept of associated prescriptions,aiming to search the development and application rules of Byoyuan Tang and its associated prescriptions.From more than 200 associated prescriptions which are similar to in compatibility ,drugs and basic functions,we devide them into 12 types according to their functions.Meanwhilely,sorting out about 50 associated prescriptions as representative ones.On the basical function of nourishing Qi, Baoyuan Tang and its associated prescriptions add to these effects:tonifying Yang and deficiency,nourishing blood,tranquilizing mind,soothing fetus,clearing away heat,nourishing body fluid,relieving bi-syndrome and exterior syndromes,consolidating superficies to arrest perspiration,consolidating the intestines to stop diarrhea,restraining emission or enuresis,relieving metrorrhagia and leukorrhagia,lifting essence of body,raising sinkings of body,regulating menstruation,promoting blood flow and diuresis,calming endogenous wind.Compared with the original Baoyuan Tang,its Associated prescriptions are able to reinforce treating effects,expand treating scope of Baoyuan Tang.As a result,they can treat Qi deficiency syndrome and relieve various syndromes deriving from the former.
