| Background/purpose: Surveying the content of serum cholesterol, HDL and LDL in patients with gastric cancer confirmed by pathology before operation, patients with gastric ulcer confirmed clinically and health adults.To understand the difference of three index between patients with gastric ulcer, health adults and patients with gastric cancer, and to understand the difference of three index among different pathology types. The reason of the difference was analyzed, further steps was done to analyze the relationship between the blood fat and the different pathology groups, the blood fat and the development of the gastric cancer, so as to provide reference index for clinical therapy and prognosis.Methods: 143 patients with gastric cancer confirmed by gastroscope, biopsy and pathology was selected, they were grouped into 3 series according to pathology grouping after operation: well-differentiated group, moderately differentiated group and poorly differentiated group. Well-differentiated group contain well-differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma and polypoid adenocarcinoma; moderately differentiated group only contains moderately differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma; poorly differentiated group contain poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma and signet-ring cell carcinoma. In addition, 30 patients with gastric ulcer and 30 health adults were selected as control. 2ml veinous blood of every member was collected on an empty stomach, then survey the content of serum cholesterol in enzymic method, and survey the content of serum HDL and LDL in precipitation method and making the statistical analysis.Results: The level of serum cholesterol , LDL and HDL in gastric cancer decr-...
