Objective: Endometrial carcinoma is the common gynecologically malignant tumor. The incidence rate of endometrial carcinoma is increasing obviously. The pathogenesis of endometrial carcinoma is not quite explicit. The expression of protooncogenes in endometrial carcinoma is becoming one of the hot research fields. Trace expression of protooncogene has been found in normal cells in order to maintain the normal physiological function of it. The abnormal expression of protooncogene could induce the pathological and functional changes of the cells. The c-fos and c-myc are the familiar protooncogenes. They regulate the cells function, such as proliferation, differentiation, transformation of the cells. Furthermore, some relationships in signal conduction pathway have been found among them. At present, these researches of protooncogene expressions in endometrial carcinoma are seldom reported and the results and conclusions of them are still in debate. The purpose of the study was to investigate the relation of protooncogenes in normal, hyperplastic, neoplastic endometrium and estrogen receptor(ER) and the relation of those protooncogenes and histopathological features of endometrial carcinoma. Methods: Thirty cases of endometrial carcinoma, 30 endometrial hyperplasias and 20 cyclic endometria (10 proliferative and 10 secretory) were evaluated...
