The Expression Of HK4 In Adenocarcinoma Endometrium And Its Correlation With ER,PR

ObjectiveWe study the expression of human kallikrein four(hk4),to correlate the protein expression with histopathology,linical parameters and estrogen receptor,progesterone receptor,and try to find that if it was a correlation factor to effluence and progess the disease and if it has some relationship with estrogen,progesterone in adenocarcinoma endometrium.MethodsImmunohistochemical methods were used to detect the protein expression of hk4 in paraffin-embedded specimens of 89 adenocarcinoma endometrium,20 normal endometrial tissue.The correlation of the factors with the clinical features and the expression of estrogen receptor,progesterone receptor in adenocarcinoma endometrium were evaluated by chi-square test.Results1.The positive percentage of expressions of hk4 in nomal endometrial tissue and adenocarcinoma endometrium were 20%(4/20) and 53.9%(48/89).The positive percent of hk4 in adenocarcinoma endometrium was significantly higher than normal endometrial tissue(p=0.006).2.In adenocarcinoma endometrium,the positive percentage of expression in the positive of estrogen receptor was 51%(25/49),the positive percentage of expression in the negative of estrogen receptor was 54.%(18/33),and there were so significantly difference between them(p=0.754).3.In adenocarcinoma endometrium,the positive percentage of expression in the positive of progesterone receptor was 54.2%(32/59),the positive percentage of expression in the negative of estrogen receptor was 56.5%(13/23 ),and there were no significantly difference between them(p=0.852).4.In adenocarcinoma endometrium,the positive percentage of expressions of hk4 in≤50 years group and＞50 years group were 38.1%(8/21)and 57.9%(40/68),and there was no significantly difference between them(p=0.096);The positive percentage of expressions of hk4 in high,middle and low histological grading adenocarcinoma endometrium were 45.2%(19/42),(18/32) and 42.8%(3/7),and there was no significantly difference between them(p=0.348);The positive percentage of expressions of hk4 in different stage adenocarcinoma endometrium were stageⅠ56.7%(34/59),stageⅡ33.3%(2/6) and stageⅢ50%(12/24),and there was no significantly difference between them(p=0.254).Conclusion1.The positive expression rate of hk4 in adenocarcinoma endometrium was significantly higher than normal endometrial tissue,suggested that hk4 possibly played an improtant role in the genesis and development of adenocarcinoma endometrium.2.In adenocarcinoma endometrium,the expression of hk4 has no relation with the estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor,suggested that the expression of hk4 in adenocarcinoma endometrium was not accommodated by estrogen and progesterone.3.In adenocarcinoma endometrium,the expression of hk4 has no relation with the age,histological classification and clincal stage.
