Obective: To develop a sort of new Chinese medicine Yi Tang Kang Capsulewhich can prevent and treat diabetes and its complications,we had theexperiment of acute and chronic toxic mechanism.In the experiment oftoxicology,it would be told whether there was venenous of the compound anddegree of it.Accurate and secure datas were got to sever as the clinic from theexperiment.Method:1.Experiment of acute toxic mechanism100 healthy Wister rats weighed 18-20g were randomly divided intogroups.Simulating the clinic ,the rats were respecively given high dosage (60%)and the most volume (0.2ml/10g), and were affused at 8:00 am everyday.Itequaled 155g medicinal materials/kg weigh of Chinese medicine Yi Tang KangCapsule.I recorded the status in 4 hours after giveing the medicine,thenobserved everyday 9:00 A.M.,2:00 P.M and observed 14 days continuously.Therat's toxic responds and the death were recorded.I recorded the time ofappearing toxicity,the lasting time,convalescent period,the time of the mostshort to die and the most long to die and the average time to die if theyappeared the poisoned symptom.2.Experiment of chronic toxic mechanismWe selected 48 healthy Wister rats randomly and put them into 4 groups:controlgroup,low dosage group,middle dosage group and high dosage group.Simulating the clinic ,the rats were respecively given distilled water,lowdosage,middle dosage,high dosage of Yi Tang Kang Capsule. Generalobservation: the appetite, weight, the external appearance,the excrement formand poisoned reaction etc. Hematology and blood biochemistry were examinedafter 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks through sampling the supraorbital veinblood.Half of the rats were killed after 12 weeks and were observed byeyes.Hert,liver,spleen,lung,kidney,brain, thymus, adrenal gland,uterus,spermaryetc were weighed and viscera index was counted.At last,heart,liver,spleen,lung,kidney,brain, thymus,adrenal gland,uterus and spermary wereobserved pathology change.The others did the same after 2 weeks.Results:1.
