Objective This study is designed to observe the effect of curcurmin on high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and blood-lipids in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods 97 patients with CHD were divided into three groups. 29 cases in curcurmin group(G1 group)were given orally curcurmin capsule 100mg once after breakfast, lunch and supper respectively. 35 cases in atorvastatin group (G2 group) were given orally atorvastatin 10mg once after supper. 33 cases in curcurmin plus atorvastatin group (G3 group) were given orally curcurmin capsule 100mg once after breakfast, lunch and supper respectively ,and plus atorvastatin 10mg once after supper. The treatment courses of the three groups were all 4 weeks. Serum levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides(TG) and high-sensitivity CRP(Hs-CRP) at the beginning and after 4 weeks of treatment were measured respectively. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the level of TC,TG and Hs-CRP in G1 group decreased by 5.2%,18.6% and 65.1% respectively, and that in G2 group decreased by 13.2%,7.0% and 68.8%, and that in G3 group decreased by 12.4%,17.2% and 69.0%. There was no significant difference in the decrease level of Hs-CRP among three groups (p>0.05). There was no significant difference in the decrease level of TC between G2 group and G3 group (p>0.05). The decrease level of TC in G2 group and G3 group was lower than G1 group, showing significant difference to that in G1 group (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the decrease level of TG between G1 group and G3 group (p>0.05). The decrease level of TG in G1 group and G3 group was lower than G2 group, showing significant difference to that in G2...
