| Objective To investigate the expression of cell-cycle related markers PCNA, cyclin D1, and P27 in condyloma acuminatum (CA) and their significance.Methods The expression and distribution of PCNA, cyclin D1, and P27 in 50 CA specimens and 10 samples of normal foreskins were detected by SP immunohistochemical technique.Results â‘ The expression of PCNA , cyclin D1 and P27 in CA cases showed more evidence than that in normal foreskins. The positive rate of cyclin D1 and P27 were 74% and 94% respectively, there were statistic difference for the expression of PCNA (P<0.05) and cyclin D1 (P<0.01) compared with that of controls, P27 expression showed no statistically significance difference. â‘¡CA cases revealed nuclear positivity for PCNA, cyclin D1 and P27 in the differentiated upper epithelial layers. A weak positivity for cyclin D1 was present in the parabasal layers of 37 CA cases. â‘¢ There was not a correlation between the expression of PCNA and P27.
