The osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH), among which the most cases were induced by alcohol and hormone, is a common disease. It often occurs and causes disabilities in clinic. The pathogenesis of the Alcohol-induced ONFH is not clear. Previous studies showed that the hematopoietic tissue decrease and increase and enlargement of fat cell in the femoral head marrow within the early stage of Alcohol-induced ONFH.The percentage of empty osteocyte lacunae was increased . The studies of molecular biology proved that alcohol may induce marrow stromal cells (MSCs) differentiate into adipocytes, and followed systemic changes in lipid metabolism, then osteonecrosis eventually develops. The cell studies of preventive and treatment modalities of puerarin for Alcohol-induced ONFH had been reported in the literature. The effects of inhibition of puerarin on differentiation of MSCs into adipocytes induced by alcohol were observed by the methods of zoology and molecular biology to further investigate the protective mechanism of puerarin to alcohol-induced ONFH.Materials and Methods:The 4 week-old mice offered by the experimental animal center of Henan province were used in the study. They were divided into 3 Groups by random.A Group: The mice were administered the wine containing 46% of alcohol at dosage of 0.4ml/d by pouring into stomach and the sodium chloride at dosage of 0.2ml/d by...
