Kiwi Essence Effects Against Adriamycin-induced Myocardium Injury In Rat And Mechanism Of Its Action

Objective: In recent years, withdraw the valid composition which have effect against cardiovascular disease from Chinese herbal medicine and natural plants have become the new path to cure cardiovascular disease; oxidative stress and apoptosis were importion mechanism of myocardium injury induced by many causes. So the experiment is designed to study the protective effect of Kiwi essence on myocardium injury induced by adriamycin in rat and clarify the mechanism of its action.Methods: Forty SD rat were randomly divided into four groups : A group (control group), B group (adriamycin group), C group (adriamycin and low dose Kiwi essence), D group (adriamycin and high dose Kiwi essence). Mice in the A group (n=10) were inoculated intraperitoneally with 0.1ml physical salts on days 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 0.1ml physical salts were filled into stomach on days 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. Mice in the B group (n=10) were inoculated intraperitoneally with 2. 5mg/kg of adriamycin on days 4, 6, 8,10, 12, 14 and 0.1ml physical salts were filled into stomach on days 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. Mice in the C group (n=10) were inoculated intraperitoneally with 2. 5mg/kg of adriamycin on days 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 60mgAg/d Kiwi essence were filled into stomach on days 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. Mice in the D group (n=10) were inoculated intraperitoneally with 2. 5mg/kg of adriamycin on days 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 180mg/kg/d Kiwi essence were filled into stomach on days 1, 2, 3, 4,6,8, 10, 12, 14. The situation of all rat were detect. The death rate, the change rate of heart rate, the body weight, the dry/wet ratio of lung, and the ratio of heart weight/ body weight were calculated.
