Objective:To investigate the efficacy and side effects, and safety of mifepristone (RU-486) used in the treatment of patients with endometriosis(EMS).To investigate the influence of mifepristone to ovarian function,especially to ovarian reserve after treatment in patients with EMS. Methods:The trial group was made of 26 outpatients with endometriosis who were confirmed by operation or laparoscopy from March 2005 to February 2006 at the department of obstetric and gynecologic, West of China 2nd hospital,Sichuan University.After informed consent for taking medicine, all patients consecutively took 10mg of mifepristone every day for 3 months.After taking RU-486, following indexes including dysmenorrhea and uterine mobile, and size of vaginal fornix nodus and ovary endometriosis cyst, and CA-125, were observed in trial group.The safety markers such as WBC,Hb, PLT, ALT, AST, HDL, LDL, PTC , and weight,and the thickness of endometrium were detected in patients with EMS.In addition, the side effect of RU-486 was also observed.Patient's menses was observed...
