ObjectiveThe rate of occurrence in obese children presents the significant increase in the last 10 years. It can't be ignored that the obese do much harm to childrens health, there are large quantity of researches show that the mental state of behavior in obese children has more problems than that in normal children, for example, on emotion, cognition, personality, temperament and so on. Recent research shows that ADHD is a new comorbidity of obesity, and there is a certain relationship between obesity and attention deficit, the research applies IVA -CPT to response control and attention of obese children, making further study on whether there are response control, attention deficit and the relationship between obesity and them in obese children.Methods1. Research object: children serviced in our developing paediatric department from May, 2005 to February , 2002 were studied, under the level of obesity , modest and serious obese children were divided respectively into two groups, 30 children in one group. We matched every 2 of them whose intelligence differ no more than 15 from each other, and chose normal children with age from 6 -12 in contemporary developing paediatric department to compare with them, ADHD and other mental system problems which always affect the childrens attentions.2. Experimental instruments: apply IVA - CPT to response control and attention of obese children.
