The Production Of Active Continuous Attention Detection Experimental Device

ObjectiveTo setup one automatic experimental device, with data acquirement abilityof animal model' s continuous attention and impulsion detection. With thisauto running program, we can proceed the research and the development ofChildren Attention Deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) topics or othersmental diseases.MethodBase on the principle of 5-CSRTT (Five-choice serial reaction time task method),we produced a compartment of size 25cm×25cm×40cm. in which, rats can getfood award, if it reach the correct target after the signal given by thecomputer system. Then, the time interval records of the rat' s reaction betweenthe stimulation and target hitting will be recorded and calculated .ResultWe have achieved our goal in both of the auto test software program and hardware.During the preliminary test, it proved- that the device can exactly note downthe rats' reaction and measure the attention plus impulsion. The mostadvantage of this facility that can be operated expediently, automaticallyand with accurate data output.ConclusionFollowing up the principle method of 5-CSRTT (Five-choice serial reactiontime task) , We have built experimental facility by ourselves, included theauto testing program and hardware. The experimental facility can record therats' reaction and measure the attention or impulsion. It has the advantagethat the experimental facility can be operated expediently, automatically andwith accurate data output.
