| Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of the compound yiren-tongfeng capsule in the hyperuricemia patients.Methods: 63 patients involved the study were analyzed the relationship between hyperuricemia and insulin resistance. 63 cases were randomly divided into two groups : 33 patients were regarded as the treatment group (treated with "compound yiren-tongfeng capsule"), 30 patients were regarded as the control group (only changing the life style). The glucose, lipid (CHO, TG, HDL, LDL, apoA, apoB), uric acid ,. insulin, liver function , kidney function in serum and BMI were investigated after 2 months in the two groups. Result : 62 patients were statistically analyzed. The partial correlation coefficients between hyperuricemia and insulin resistance was —0.751 (P=0.01). The serum uric acid of the control group was significantly lower than before (P<0.001). The serium uric acid , TG, insulinof treatment group were significently lower than before (P<0.05-0.001). The total effective rate was 56.67% in the control group, 90% in treatment group. There were significantly differences between the treatment group and the control group (P<0.001). Compared with the control group, the treatment group could significant reduce uric acid (P<0.001), TG (P<0.05) and improve the insulin resistance (P<0.05), and improve the symptoms of the hyperuricemia patients.Conclusion : Compound yiren-tongfeng capsule has outstanding effect on decreasing UA, and increasing the patients' insulin sensitive index, improving insulin resistance.
