Objective:Placenta which is a vital organ between mother and fetus in gestational period takes on material exchange, metabolism, barrier and so on.Placenta provides fetus nutritive substances and some essential chemical materials depending on carriers,at the same time it also can protect fetus from some exogenous or endogenous chemical materials. In these years, several scholars have found the multidrug resistance-associated protein(MRP) in placenta, which blongs to ATP-binding cassette(ABC) carrier family. They also have found MRP maybe in relation to placental function, which open up a new pathway on the study of placental function. Previously,MRP used to be studied on drugs resistance in tumor. However, there is few reports on this aspect, which is being explored. For further study on the relations between MRP and placental function, this study will assay the expression of MRP1,MRP3 in villus of early pregnancy, second trimester and term pregnancy applying immunohistochemistry to further illuminate the physiological functions of the proteins in placenta. Methods:There are 20 cases early pregnancy villus samples,10 cases second trimester placenta samples and 20 cases term pregnancy placenta samples. This study will show the expression,...
