Objective : Nowadays , with the improvement of the standard of living and the changes of the life style , more and more people have gotten type 2 diabetes mellitus . The chronic complications of diabetes mellitus play an important role in the prognosis of diabetic patients .With the depth of the studies ,people paid more attention to the role of adhesion molecules .The expression of ICAM-1 upgraduated in microvascular complications in many studies ,which mediated the leukocytes recruit and adhere to the endothelial cells and induced a series of inflammatory reaction ,that contributed to the obstruction of capillary vessels .In the macrovascular complication ,ICAM-1 induced the diseases by mediating the occuring of atherosclerosis .Soluble ICAM-1 was observed in the serum ,and associated with the inflammation . The level of sICAM-1 was parallel with that of ICAM-1 ,it has a high clinical value because it is easy to measure . Another character of diabetic patients is erythrocyte aggregation and the obstruction of micro-circulation ,which may induce a series of pathologic changes .Then ,is there any relation between sICAM-1 and erythrocyte aggregation ?There was not any...
