The Study Of Effects Of Naturai Rubrus Suavissimus S.Lee Saponin On Streptococcus Mutans

【Objective】To explore the anticariogenic activities of Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee Saponin and possibility to use as a sugar subtitute.【Methodes】The effects of Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee Saponin on the growth and glass rod adhering of Streptococcus Mutans were investigated turbidimetrically by measuring the optical density of the culture at 540nm. Each was tested in different medical concentration for observing the minimal inhibitory concentrations(MIC). Activities of GTF were measured by the method of anthrone.【Results】With the concentrations of Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee Saponin increasing,the numerical value of OD was decreasing.when the concentration of Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee Saponin was higher than 0.625g/100ml,the growth and adhering glass rod of Streptococcus Mutans in different concentrations were significantly lower than that in the groups without adding Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee extract(P<0.05). The more the concentration was ,the lower the growth and adhering glass rod of Streptococcus Mutans was.MIC50 of the Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee Saponin was 0.625 g/100ml.【Conclusion】These results suggested that Rubrus suarissimus S.Lee Saponin inhibited Streptococcus Mutans growing and adhering,...
